I’m so sorry to say this because I have never given any book a one star. Through it’s been 13 years, Kate still has a primal need to confront not only the boy who abandoned her before the senior prom, but the musical pirate who used her personal life as fodder for his most celebrated songs and cheated his high school bandmates out of deserved recognition and royalties.
In Dedicationauthors Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus put Kate Hollis in just such a situation and leave her to fumble her way through the answers to these and many more questions. The story was absolute, she had a friend who always cares for her, Lauraa bandmate who always on her side for fun and a family who always cares for her.

Maybe if they dated for an extremely long time, had an long passionate affair with each other subsequent to the high school break-up, etc. It took a long time to figure out why they were so angry for much of the book. But after getting the call in the dead of night and jumping on a plane, ekma she turn back now? I think most women can relate that their first true love especially if it was in high school holds a special plac I really liked this book.

I’m hoping this will be one of those times. Feb 20, Ginny rated it did not like it Shelves: Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. The adult sections of the book were so overly dramatic and insanely unreal, and I didn’t feel like I could respect the main character who is supposed to be smart and grounded. I hate the authors’ style of writing – It’s so confusing and I had to read and re-read several sentences, which is a waste of time for a book that’s meant to be a fast read.
This book might emmma suitable for kidsor worseno one: Jake is an ass THAT is what this book is about and it was fascinating.

This is not their best, but I did enjoy it. I feel like the first several chapters of grade 7, 8, 9 or whatever could haven summed up in several pages rather than chapters.
