Mar 28, Timothy rated it it was greensyein. It’s entirely possible that many serious poker players need to read a book that tells them to be a decent human being. However, outside of the autobiographical section, most of the advice is geared toward a player who is pondering making the move to professional poker. This is a great book for any poker enthusiast.

Finally, if you ARE looking for hand analysis from one of the gfeenstein players in the world, Barry covers some of that as well towards the end of this book and it’s good, but Dan Harrington’s book excel far beyond the little stuff that Barry touches upon here no doubt it was added later to cater towards this type of audience.
Overall, I was slightly disappointed with the book, largely due to the fact that it goes into excessive detail about how a poker professional lives, and what, moreover, they should consider and contemplate before pursuing poker as a full-time commitment.

While most poker books focus on basic rules and strategies, the book’s advanced perspective addresses elements that effect both game play and the player. It is also heavy in the sense that Greenstein attempts to link the poker life to the way life in general should be conducted.
